Privacy policy
Persevia is a tool for keeping track of your own food, activity, weight and medication. What you log is for your own tracking: we don't sell it, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't analyse it to give you medical recommendations.
We don't want your data. We store it only so you can use the app's tools comfortably and never lose your progress. We use your email solely to let you access and recover your account, to handle your subscription, and to reply if you write to us. We will never send you advertising.
1. Who processes your data
- Controller: Alexandre Espinosa Gálvez, Sant Celoni (Barcelona), Spain.
- Contact: support@persevia.app
2. With and without an account
You can use Persevia without an account: your data then stays on your phone only and doesn't reach us, except for the error reports described below.
If you sign in (by email or with Google), your data is copied to the cloud to back it up, sync it across your devices and use the social features.

Health data
Weight, measurements, activity and medication count as health data. In Persevia they are only what you choose to log to keep track of yourself:
- They are private. Medication can't be shared in any way, and weight and measurements only appear on your profile if you turn that on.
- We don't analyse them to give medical advice, use them for advertising, or pass them to anyone.
- Medication reminders are scheduled by your own phone, from the schedule you enter.
Health Connect
If you enable it, Persevia reads steps from Health Connect and, only if you enable it separately, weight. We don't write anything to Health Connect. You can disconnect it at any time from the app or from Android settings. Use of information received from Health Connect adheres to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. Legal basis
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): your account, diary, content and subscription.
- Explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR): health data. We process it only because you enter or connect it, and you can withdraw consent at any time by deleting it or disconnecting Health Connect.
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): security, moderation and fixing bugs.
5. What is public and what isn't
Nothing in your diary, weight, measurements or medication is public.
Public, if you choose so: your profile and the recipes, workouts and posts you mark as public. In the privacy settings you decide separately whether your age, weight, height, goal, bio and achievements are visible.
Direct messages are only visible to their participants. An administrator can access reported content in order to moderate it.
6. Who we share it with
We don't sell data or share it for advertising. Only these providers are involved:
- Supabase, as processor, hosts the database, authentication and files. If any data is processed outside the European Economic Area, this is done with GDPR safeguards (standard contractual clauses).
- Google, for Google sign-in, Health Connect and, if you subscribe to Premium, billing through Google Play. We never receive or store your card.
- Open Food Facts and the USDA food database: when you search for a food or scan a barcode, the app sends them only the text or code searched, never your data. Food corrections validated by the community may be contributed back to Open Food Facts under the ODbL licence; that is product data, not yours.
- Authorities, only when the law requires it.
Translating content between languages happens on your phone and doesn't send the text to any server.
7. How long we keep it
- For as long as your account is open.
- When you delete your account, your profile, diary, measurements, medication, pantry, messages, comments and private content are deleted.
- Recipes and workouts you published remain available without your name, because other people have saved and built on them. If you want those gone too, delete them before deleting your account or ask us by email.
- Error reports are kept as long as needed to fix the bug, and moderation records as long as needed to justify each decision.
8. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability.
- Export your data: from the app settings, as an Excel file.
- Delete your account: from the app settings. You can also request it without installing the app by writing to support@persevia.app from your account's email address; we process it within 30 days at most.
- Complain: to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or the authority in your country.
9. Security
Communications are encrypted (HTTPS), and each user can only read and modify their own private data — a rule enforced by the database itself, not just by the app.
10. Children
Persevia is not intended for children under 16. If we find an account belonging to a minor without their guardians' authorisation, we will delete it.
11. Changes
If we change anything significant, we will announce it in the app before it takes effect.
